July Wormhole Recap — News & New Releases

The Wormhole is open!

The Wormhole is a two-week long release and sales event kicked off by a livestream where the O-Neb team debuts all the new releases, announcements, and news, and then joins the community for a live Q & A.

For the full experience, check out the full stream!

If you only have a few minutes before you have to stop messing around and get back to work or whatever, we've got you covered here with some highlights.

Event Details

Expanded Event Format

Rather than a single one-off livestream, Wormholes are now expanding into two-week long events with happenings and goings on throughout, including access to shop items that are only available while the Wormhole is open. We're keeping it simple for this first one: the event introduces a bunch of brand new releases, as usual, but also features a bunch of sales across the shop, something we normally don't do. The sales we cease when the Wormhole closes, August 6th at midnight.

Orders placed during the event will start to ship upon the conclusion of the event on Aug 6.

Also, while the event is live . . .

Wormhole Patch Collection

During each Wormhole event a new collectible patch with be released to add to the official Wormhole Patch Collection. While supplies of patches last, any orders placed during the event (July 23 - Aug 6) will receive one of these patches for free. Each Wormhole a new patch will be released and added to orders for free. Past patches may be available for purchase during subsequent events, but that cannot be guaranteed.

Announcements

Outpost Podcast Season 3

The Outpost is a podcast that looks behind-the-scenes and under-the-surface at Orange Nebula where we make games, toys, and other creative things. We dig into the details of the things we've made and are working on, look at the creative process as a whole, answer community questions, and do live creative sessions and lore-building.

The show is available in both audio and video formats.
Audio of the first two episodes are available wherever you podcast.
Here's a link to Spotify.

Video of the first two episodes will be available during this Wormhole even on YouTube. Look to our news posts, social, and newsletter for an announcement when things go live!

Menu Music for Video Games That Don't Exist

Spinning out of our "Idea Garden" practice—in which team members can spend creative time on any project they want—Menu Music for Video Games That Don't Exist is a lo-fi playlist made in-house, intended to help you focus, chill, study, or simply groove. Likely the first in a series of music for Video Games That Don't Exist, we're very excited to be playing around in this new type of offering.

New Releases

Unsettled® Planet 010 - Taawa

An accelerated day/night cycle means navigating between constantly shifting extremes. Do your objectives call for daylight? Night glow? Do you need access to the strange hailstones that fall at night and are full of mysterious energy? Do you just need to get out of the oppressive light for a few moments? Do you need the oppressive light? Taawa is our tenth planet, which feels like a special milestone, and is worthy of the moment. Space is hard. Remember to hydrate.

Unsettled® Planet 011 - Vo'qorr

Look. This one is all about digging tunnels to connect the environment in weird ways of your making. The tunnels are little cards. If that's not enough to click on the image, well . . . okay, fine, here's more. This "planet" is actually four planets occupying a similar area of space but across four different dimensions. They're phasing in and out of your reality, meaning the environment shifts and changes around you. Can you control this? Kinda, because your weird science is strong, but unexpected twists will definitely occur. Space is hard. Bring space rope.

Vindication® Dreams & Nightmares 2-pack Set

Two new 15-card packs for Vindication that introduce two new card types: dreams and nightmares! Developed in close concert with some of our most passionate and insightful playtesters, these packs pack a mighty potency. These also feature a brand new art style, with Krista making splotches and "finding" images in them to then expand upon. It's a very mesmerizing, intriguing set of packs that, yes, will absolutely fit in your Archive storage box.

Vindication® Action Trackers (Now Separate)

Previously only available as part of the Archive of the Ancients big box storage solution, these Vindication action trackers are now available separately. If you own the Archive, you already have these. If you don't, why, then, you don't! Here they are! How convenient is that?!

THONKS!™ Collectible Display Slabs: Classic Nebula Collection

A brand new line of collectible display figures, THONKS!™ plan to explore many different corners of the pop culture, gaming, and literary worlds. Starting things off right though, is the Classic Nebula Collection, featuring characters from Orange Nebula games. Not sure how to make sense of this? Click here to watch a documentary capturing some of the nuances and inspiration behind THONKS!.

Don't Trust Her Tee

A variant of our most popular tee design, the Don't Trust Her tee takes the Trust Her tee in a very different direction. The opposite direction, really. We made a lot of these, but we have a feeling they'll disappear quickly anyway.

Trust Her Tee

Back in stock after many many requests, the Trust Her Tee is a new classic round these parts. It has LUNA on it. It's high quality. The hemtag is bright blue. We're into it, the community is into it, feels like justification for our first ever shirt reprint.

O-Neb Beanie (restock and 3 new colors)

The original O-Neb beanie has been a favorite for years. We wear them all the time and its rare for someone to order one and not message us later to share their love of it. We've reprinted the original two colors, and added three more.
